in Nairobi Kenya on the 17th September
1969, and came to the United Kingdom
aged 2 in 1971. Parents were of Hindu descent,
Educated in Leicester to secondary school level. Left School at the age of 14 to work in his father’s general store in Narborough, Leicestershire, where a real interest was developed in sales. First job on leaving the family business was working in the field in a sales role, within the newspaper trade, where an interest in writing, was developed, working in the advertising dept developing customer histories for advertising articles.
This followed a move working in the automotive trade, and then moving into food manufacturing sales.
Finally coming full circle, buying the first of 4 retail stores selling stationery, art and toys in 2009 in my beloved home town of Wetherby West Yorkshire, together with my wife Liz.
I am currently Chair of Wetherby Business Association 16/17, and have been involved in numerous community events over the years in the town, that I am passionate about.
