Remembrance Sunday is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. This year is particularly poignant as it marks the centenary of the First World War (1914 to 1918).
Wetherby Town Council works with the Wetherby and District Branch of the Royal British Legion on arrangements for the town's commemorative activities which will take place on Sunday 11th November 2018.
8am - Road closures implemented around town centre.
10.30am - Parade forms around Wetherby Town Hall.
10.40am - Parade moves off from Town Hall to War Memorial at Bridge Foot.
11am - Act of Remembrance including 2 minutes silence.
11.05am - Laying of Wreaths
11.20am (approx.) - Parade moves off from War Memorial to St. James' Church.
11.30am - Service of Remembrance at St. James' Church
11.30am - roads re-opened once parade has passed.
