About Wetherby

> About Wetherby

Welcome to the charming historic town of Wetherby, on the banks of the River Wharfe and centred in the Yorkshire triangle of Leeds, York and Harrogate. Winner of the Britain in Bloom Award for 1998, Wetherby represented Britain in the 1999 European "Entente Florale" - and won the coveted gold medal. In 2002 Wetherby received a silver gilt award in the Britain in Bloom town category and in 2005 were judged to be the winner of the small town category of the Communities in Bloom International Challenge.

Wetherby is a fascinating place to visit with lots to offer. Perfect scenery in an area of great natural beauty - with well preserved period architecture, a host of places to eat and drink and lots of great shopping. Wetherby is a great place to live, too, and for business people is just 20 minutes from Leeds, Harrogate or York, and 1 3/4 Hrs by train to London. You're sure to find plenty that is interesting and enjoyable in this famous market town in the heart of Yorkshire.
