Wetherby and District Camera Club

IThe club welcomes photographers of all abilities and experience to its meetings held each Tuesday in the Church Rooms. The programme for 2009 - 2010 begins on September 8th at 7:30. Throughout the season members enjoy talks by visiting speakers, practical sessions, internal and external competitions and social activities. The club aims to help all those interested in photography develop their own work and learn more of this fascinating hobby.

The camera club has enjoyed its most successful season which included outstanding success at this year's Yorkshire Photographic Union exhibition held at Pickering. The local branch of Specsavers has generously agreed to continue the sponsorship of the club for a second season. As a result of which the club is able to mount a second celebrity lecture in March 2010 and it is hoped to arrange a landscape workshop for members in the Spring of 2010.

A display of members' work will be mounted in the window of Wetherby Library from September 7th until September 14th and more examples of members' images will be displayed at the club's annual coffee morning in Wetherby Town Hall on September 19th, 2009.

More information including many galleries of members' images can be found on the club's web site or by emailing the club at info@wetherbycameraclub.co.uk.
