Wetherby and District Camera Club
The club welcomes photographers of all abilities and experience to its meetings held each Tuesday in the Church Rooms, St James Church Hall. The annual programme starts on the first or second Tuesday of each September at 7:30pm. Throughout the season members enjoy talks by visiting speakers, practical sessions, internal and external competitions and social activities. The club aims to help all those interested in photography develop their own work and learn more of this fascinating hobby. During the summer there are additional club trips to areas of photographic interest throughout Yorkshire.
The local branch of Specsavers has generously sponsored the club for several years. As a result of which the club presents a celebrity lecture in March each year and supports several specialist groups, portrait and interclub.
An annual display of members' work is mounted in the window of Wetherby Library during each September and more examples of members' images are displayed at the club's annual exhibition and coffee morning in Wetherby Town Hall during a Saturday in mid September – dates advertised locally and on the website.
More information including many galleries of members' images can be found on the club's web site.
