Wetherby Silver Band was formed in 1878 and today continues in its quest as stated in the band's constitution "to educate the public in the musical arts and in particular the art of brass band playing".

The Band has recently won promotion to the second section of the Brass Band Registry and will play in this section from January next.

Wetherby Silver Band at The Royal Albert Hall

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 8.00pm to 9.45pm. The Band undertakes some 30 engagements each year and is completely self-financing. This year we will be playing at Wetherby Bandstand, Wetherby Show, Bramham Horse Trials, Beningborough Hall, Ripon Races, Newby Hall and many local galas and of course Remembrance Sunday and the usual Christmas playing.
